About

UK Civil Society Women's Alliance (UKCSWA) is an umbrella organisation of UK-based and global organizations dedicated to promoting the rights of women and girls. Our platform provides a unified voice to advocate for gender equality, empower women, and create a more just and equitable world.

We work collaboratively with UK Government departments, Parliamentarians, and key stakeholders to ensure women’s rights remain central to national policy and international commitments. The Alliance meets monthly to coordinate priorities, share evidence, and strengthen collective advocacy.

UKCSWA also engages directly with United Nations processes, including the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), where we represent UK civil society, contribute to negotiations, and amplify the voices of women and girls globally.

Established in 2011, the UK civil society, women's alliance is the result of a UK grassroots movement set up as a mechanism for non-governmental organisations to network and collaborate, it is a nonprofit free to join network which relies on kind donations. The UKCSWA meets at the end of every month via zoom for talks from esteemed, speakers and briefings on its work, including from its working groups and associated organisations and individuals.

At UKCSWA, we believe in the inherent ability of all women to embrace their true selves, shape their own futures, and positively impact the world around them.
